Carla Andrea Pastorino Campos

Past President of the  Hispanic Studies Graduate Students Association

I started Concordia’s M.A. in Hispanic Studies in Fall 2011, a little over a year after having obtained my B.A. in Institutional Communication in Argentina, my home country. During my B.A., I worked as an intern in two organizations devoted to language learning and as a research assistant in a higher education institution. I also spent two semesters abroad (in Canada and France), worked as a volunteer for 3 years in American Field Service (AFS) and studied several languages (English, French, Italian, Portuguese and German).

Besides being a M.A. candidate in Concordia, I am currently also teaching an introductory Spanish class and I am the recipient of a Faculty of Arts and Science Graduate Fellowship and a Harriet and Abe Gold Entrance Bursary.

My research interests include multiculturalism and multilingualism, sociolinguistics, Hispanic linguistics, and second and third language acquisition.
