I graduated in English Language and Literature with French as a Second Foreign Language at The School of Foreign Languages of the University of Havana, in Cuba. Upon graduating, I was offered a teaching position in the English Department of the same school. I taught Sight Translation, Interpretation and English as a Second Foreign Language there for over 4 years and, at the same time, I started my postgraduate studies in the Translation Master's Program of the very same department. I am presently an MA candidate in the Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Concordia.

Although teaching is my favorite professional activity, I have also devoted a great deal of my postgraduate time to translation and interpretation, basically as a freelancer. My professional interests include, first and foremost, second and third foreign language teaching-learning, translation, and interpretation. I am also interested in movie subtitling and Caribbean literature and culture.
